Description:
Originally I planed to call this painting “Saint Anton’s pot” referring to the food and different sausages that are made during the pig slaughter fest in Spain.
I started then with a big copper pot full of onions. Then I focused myself on the appearance and brightness of onion’s skin and continue adding more elements like the pumpkin or a few quinces. Personally I think quinces have an attractive shape and texture to be painted.
Unfortunately, I continue focused on the painting technique and ended up adding a cauliflower, a cardoon, an orange… It was at the moment of signing the painting when I realize that the original title wasn’t fitting anymore.
